Joseph Romeo is an international award winning architectural and fine art photographer.

 

Joseph was born in Sacramento, California.  He is an honors graduate from Brooks Institute where he earned a BA in Commercial/Industrial photography.  Since 1990 Joseph has made his home base in Northern Virginia.  He has been photographing architecture and fine art related subjects for over twenty years.  After years of working with traditional large format cameras and film, then switching to the best cutting edge digital technology, Joseph has developed a style that is capable of producing the finest architectural images possible.  Joseph works meticulously to combine lighting, composition and detail to capture the vision and design intent of the architect. 

 

Joseph travels extensively throughout the United States providing architectural photography on a local and national level.  His photography has been featured in many national magazines including Architectural Record, Interior Design, Architecture DC, Traditional Building, Engineering News-Record, Southern Accents, Construction, as well as Communication Arts, Black and White Magazine, Color Magazine, Dodho Magazine, and digitalis foto magazin.  

 

Joseph’s photography has garnered many national, regional, and local awards, including various AIA Awards.

 

He has been recognized in many international photography competitions such as The APA Awards, The IPA Awards,The International Spider Awards, Neutral Density Awards, LensCulture, Monochrome Awards, International Color Awards, Fotoweek DC, and was listed as the top 10  “Best of the Best” emerging Fine Art Photographers of 2013 by BWgallerist.
